Dormer Pramet R459 3.20 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK LONG SERIES (X8D) DRILL

The Dormer Pramet R459 3.20 mm carbide drill is built for professionals who need precise, repeatable holes across common metals. This long-series, stepped-shank tool combines a 140° four-facet split point with a TiAlN coating to help you start accurately, reduce startup push, and extend tool life in demanding workpieces.

With a dedicated flute design and a coolant feed, the drill supports higher speeds and feeds while delivering strong performance and clean hole finishes. Suitable for drilling steel, aluminium, and stainless steel, it helps you achieve consistent results and tight tolerances (H9) even when working at speed.

• Self-centering 140° four-facet split point: Helps start holes accurately with less push force, reducing wandering and improving first-pass hole alignment.
• TiAlN coating for longer life: Titanium aluminium nitride coating substantially increases tool life and enhances performance when drilling harder materials such as stainless steel and alloyed steels.
• CTW flute design with coolant feed for higher speeds: The CTW flute geometry and coolant delivery enable higher cutting speeds and feeds, while aiding chip evacuation for cleaner, faster hole production.

With a 3.20 mm diameter and H9 hole tolerance, this drill delivers precise, repeatable results across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. The combination of a self-centering tip, durable coating, and robust flute design translates into faster hole creation, reduced rework, and reliable performance in daily fabrication, assembly lines, and workshop drilling tasks.
