Dormer Pramet R459 3.60 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK LONG SERIES (X8D) DRILL

The Dormer Pramet R459 3.60 mm carbide TiAlN Force-X stepped-shank drill is engineered for reliable, precise hole production in metalworking applications. With a compact 3.60 mm diameter and a stepped long‑shank design, it delivers deep reach and rigid performance in steel, aluminium, and stainless steel—making it suitable for engineers, machinists, tradespeople, and serious hobbyists who demand consistent results.

Built to minimize downtime and maintain accuracy, this drill combines premium carbide with a TiAlN coating and a specialized flute system to support higher speeds, smoother feeds, and extended tool life across a range of materials.

• Self-Centering 140° 4-Facet Split Point: Starts holes cleanly with minimal wandering and reduces the push force required, helping you achieve accurate starts and consistent hole location.
• TiAlN Coating on Premium Carbide: Extends tool life and enhances performance when drilling harder materials, maintaining sharpness and reducing wear over many holes.
• CTW Flute Design with Coolant Feed: Provides added strength and allows higher cutting speeds and feeds, while improving chip evacuation and cooling for smoother operation.

This drill is designed to deliver high-quality, accurate holes at high speeds, capable of achieving tight H9 tolerances. The long-shank design enables deeper reach and reliable performance in challenging workpieces, helping you reduce tool changes, improve throughput, and finish projects with greater confidence.
