Dormer Pramet R459 19/64 Inch CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK LONG SERIES (X8D) DRILL

The Dormer Pramet R459 drill is a 19/64 inch carbide drill designed for demanding jobs that require fast, accurate holes. Its long Force-X stepped shank provides stable guidance for deeper holes in a variety of materials, from steel to stainless.

With a 140° four-facet split point, TiAlN coating, and a CTW flute design with coolant feed, this drill starts true, lasts longer, and handles higher speeds and feeds while delivering tight hole tolerances.

• Self-Centering 140° Split Point: The 140-degree, four-facet geometry helps the drill start precisely and reduces the initial push force, resulting in clean entrance and accurate hole location from the first cut.
• TiAlN Coating for Extended Life: Titanium aluminium nitride coating reduces wear and heat buildup, boosting tool life and enabling reliable performance when drilling harder materials such as steel and stainless.
• CTW Flute Design with Coolant Feed: The special flute design paired with coolant flow enhances strength, improves chip evacuation, and allows higher cutting speeds and feeds for faster, smoother drilling.

Designed for versatility across common metals, this premium carbide drill delivers consistent hole quality with precise tolerances (H9-equivalent) when used with appropriate feeds and speeds. The R459 combines durability, efficiency, and reliability to reduce rework and keep projects moving efficiently in professional shops and on-site environments.
