Dormer Pramet R459 6.20 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK LONG SERIES (X8D) DRILL

Introducing the Dormer Pramet R459 6.20 mm Carbide TiAlN Force-X Stepped Shank Long Series drill. This high-performance drill is built for professionals and serious hobbyists who need reliable, precise holes across a range of materials. The long stepped shank (X8D) provides added reach and rigidity for deep-hole drilling, while premium carbide construction ensures consistent results.

A 140-degree four-facet split point enables self-centering for clean starts and reduces the push force required to begin drilling. The Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating boosts wear resistance and extends tool life, especially when drilling harder materials. The CTW flute design with coolant feed adds strength and supports higher cutting speeds and feeds, while the long stepped shank enhances reach for demanding deep-hole work, helping you achieve tight h9 hole tolerances.

• 140° four-facet split point: Self-centering entry and reduced push force for cleaner starts and easier hole initiation.
• TiAlN coating for extended life: Hardened surface that resists wear, delivering longer drilling life on steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.
• CTW flute design with coolant feed and long stepped shank: Increased strength at higher speeds and feeds, improved chip evacuation, and extended reach for deep-hole drilling.

This drill helps you achieve consistent, high-quality results quickly, reducing downtime and tool changes. With its versatile carbide and extended reach, you can tackle deep-hole projects with confidence, delivering accurate holes that meet tight tolerances.
