Dormer Pramet R459 13.50 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK LONG SERIES (X8D) DRILL

The Dormer Pramet R459 13.50 mm carbide drill with FORCE-X stepped shank is built for demanding drilling tasks across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. Its long-series design and premium carbide core deliver reliable, precise holes with a focus on durability and consistency in busy production environments.

Featuring a 140° four-facet split point for self-centering starts and a TiAlN coating to extend tool life, this drill maintains performance at higher speeds and feeds while resisting wear in tough materials.

• Self-centering 140° four-facet split point: Ensures clean starts and reduces push force, improving hole accuracy from the first cut.
• TiAlN coating: Extends tool life and enhances performance when drilling harder materials, reducing routine tool changes.
• FORCE-X flute design with coolant feed and long stepped shank: Increases rigidity for higher cutting speeds and feeds, while the long shank provides reach and stability in challenging drilling applications.

Using the Dormer Pramet R459 13.50 mm drill translates to faster cycle times, fewer rework runs, and more predictable results across a range of materials. Its self-centering start, robust coating, and strengthened flute geometry help you push speeds and feeds without sacrificing accuracy, so you can complete projects sooner and with less effort.
