Dormer Pramet R459 6.90 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK LONG SERIES (X8D) DRILL

The Dormer Pramet R459 6.90 mm carbide drill is engineered for reliable, high-precision holemaking across metals. With a long stepped-shank design, it's ideal for deeper holes in steel, aluminium, and stainless steel, delivering consistent starts and stable performance in demanding jobs.

Built on premium carbide and coated with Titanium Aluminium Nitride, this drill combines longevity with faster cutting action, making it a versatile choice for workshop and on-site use alike. It is capable of producing high quality and accurate holes even at high speeds and feeds (h9 hole tolerance).

• Self-centering 140° 4‑facet split point: Promotes quick, accurate starts with less push force, reducing wandering and improving hole quality on tough materials.
• TiAlN coating for longer tool life: Hardened coating reduces wear, extending service life and maintaining sharpness when drilling harder metals.
• CTW flute design with coolant feed: Strengthened flute geometry and coolant delivery enable higher cutting speeds and feeds while sustaining stability for cleaner finishes.

This drill helps you complete projects faster with fewer tool changes, consistently accurate holes (h9 tolerance), and less downtime. The combination of a long stepped shank for extended reach, premium carbide, and robust coating delivers dependable performance across everyday steel work, aluminum fabrication, and stainless applications—so you can rely on one drill to handle a wide range of materials and thicknesses with confidence.
