Dormer Pramet R459 5.10 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK LONG SERIES (X8D) DRILL

The Dormer Pramet R459 5.10 mm carbide drill is a precision cutting tool designed for fast, accurate hole creation across a variety of materials. With a 5.10 mm diameter and a long-series stepped shank (X8D), this drill is ideal for engineers, machinists, tradespeople, hobbyists, and buyers who need reliable performance in production runs or residential projects.

Its 140-degree four-facet split point self-centers the start of the hole and reduces the starting push force, while a Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating extends tool life and improves performance on harder materials. A CTW flute design with coolant feed adds strength and supports higher cutting speeds and feeds, enabling fast, accurate hole production with a consistent finish.

• Self-centering 140° four-facet split point: Promotes precise hole starts with reduced push force, improving accuracy and reducing operator effort.
• TiAlN coating for longer life: Increases tool life and enhances performance on harder materials, helping you achieve reliable results over more holes.
• CTW flute design with coolant feed: Boosts tool strength and supports higher speeds and feeds for faster, more consistent drilling across a range of materials.

With premium carbide material, this drill can handle drilling steel, aluminum, and stainless steel while delivering high-quality, accurate holes even at elevated speeds and feeds (H9 hole tolerance). The long-series stepped shank provides reach and compatibility with standard holders, making it a versatile choice for production environments and DIY projects alike. Trustworthy performance, repeatable results, and reduced downtime come together in this Dormer Pramet drill to keep your work moving smoothly.
