Dormer Pramet R459 8.00 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK LONG SERIES (X8D) DRILL

The Dormer Pramet R459 8.00 mm carbide drill is built for durable, precise drilling across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. Part of the FORCE-X stepped shank long-series (X8D), it’s designed for deep holes and demanding setups, delivering reliable performance in the real-world shop environment.

With a 140° four‑facet split point, this drill starts cleanly and reduces the push force needed to begin a cut, helping you avoid wandering and achieve accurate hole locations from the first edge engagement. The Titanium Aluminium Nitride coating delivers longer tool life and improved performance when drilling harder materials, so you can keep cutting confidently between tool changes.

• 140° Four-Facet Split Point: Self-centering start and reduced entry force for clean hole starts and minimized wandering.
• TiAlN Coating for Longer Life: Extends tool life and enhances performance on harder materials, increasing uptime between replacements.
• CTW Flute Design with Coolant Feed: Strengthened flute geometry and coolant delivery enable higher cutting speeds and feeds with reliable chip evacuation.

Designed for high‑quality, accurate holes at speed, the R459 drill delivers consistent results with h9 hole tolerance. Its premium carbide core and long shank provide stability in deep-hole applications, helping you reduce downtime and maintain productivity across a range of materials and thicknesses.
