The Y.T. Indexable T-Slot Cutter (3T1640-1.8) is a precision metric saw engineered for LNGT and UFO-type inserts, delivering consistent center alignment and rapid tooling changes for efficient T-slot milling and end-milling operations.
- Saw Diameter: 40 mm for stable rotational balance and accurate profile cutting on CNC machining centers.
- Insert Compatibility: Specifically sized for LNGT inserts with a width range of 3 to 4 mm, supported by a broad UFO ecosystem across multiple thicknesses and material grades.
- Tapered-Polygon Connection: Locks the cutter body to the shank with exact angular indexing to eliminate runout and maintain true center positioning under cutting loads.
- Shank Ecosystem Support: Integrates with YIH TROUN T-slot shanks covering the CAPTO standard, providing cross-compatibility with nine cutter styles and over 1,400 indexable insert options.
- Optimized Cutting Geometry: Features a refined rake angle and enhanced flute spacing to direct chips smoothly out of the cut zone, reducing heat buildup and preventing recutting.
Replacing solid HSS or traditionally welded T-slot tools reduces cycle times and lowers per-part costs through faster material removal rates and extended insert service life. The rigid connection interface keeps the tool precisely aligned throughout each pass, which protects spindle components and ensures tight dimensional repeatability batch after batch. Quick insert exchange capabilities minimize machine idle time, allowing operators to replace worn edges without dismantling the full arbor assembly. Built for demanding production floors, this cutter maintains steady performance across diverse alloy grades while simplifying setup and maximizing overall equipment utilization.
