The Y.T. Indexable T-Slot Cutter (3T) in metric sizing is engineered for CNC machining centers that demand rapid material removal and precise slot profiling. Built around a 32 mm saw diameter and compatible with LNGT inserts, this tool delivers sustained geometric accuracy and reduced operational downtime for industrial manufacturing workflows.
- Saw Diameter & Insert Specification: 32 mm profile designed specifically for 1.8 mm wide LNGT indexable inserts (Model 3TS2580-6.0).
- Tapered-Polygon Connection: UFO-inspired shank geometry ensures exact center positioning and rigid insert clamping to minimize vibration.
- Insert Compatibility Range: Accepts a broad selection of UFO-type inserts across multiple diameters, thicknesses, and substrate grades, with each holder supporting up to 400 replaceable segments.
- CAPTO System Integration: Complements a six-shank lineup that covers the entire CAPTO interface, enabling nine distinct cutter configurations and access to over 1,400 insert variants.
- Optimized Cutting Geometry: Refined chip evacuation channels and positive rake angles improve material flow and reduce cutting forces during aggressive pass depth.
By eliminating the need for costly ground HSS or brazed tools, this system reportedly triples machining efficiency while consistently holding tight dimensional tolerances. Machinists can quickly swap worn inserts in standard workshop settings, drastically cutting machine idle time and extending overall tool longevity. The combination of reliable centering and controlled chip breaking protects both the workpiece surface and spindle components during extended production runs.
