Description
The Y.T. Indexable T-Slot Cutter (Model 3T2580-1.6) is a metric 32 mm indexing tool engineered for CNC operators needing reliable T-slot milling with LNGT inserts. Its tapered-polygon arbor and quick-change shank system prioritize repeatable center alignment and rapid insert turnover.
- Cutting Diameter: 32 mm body tailored for standard metric T-slot profiles using 1.4–1.5 mm wide LNGT inserts.
- Tapered-Polygon Connection: Locks securely to machine interfaces with controlled taper geometry to reduce spindle runout and improve slot straightness.
- Indexable Shank Capacity: Each holder accommodates up to 400 UFO-type inserts, allowing extensive edge repositioning without discarding the base shank.
- CAPTO Ecosystem Match: Part of a six-shank family that covers nine cutter types and pairs with more than 1,400 interchangeable insert grades.
- Optimized Flute Profile: Deep pocket geometry and advanced rake angles direct chips upward for cleaner cuts and improved thermal control.
- Fast Replacement Design: Minimal-tool shank exchange cuts tool changeover time significantly while keeping maintenance straightforward.
This modular system replaces slow, expensive solid T-slot cutters with a reusable body and replaceable edge segments. Operators gain up to 300% greater cutting efficiency against traditional HSS or welded alternatives, resulting in lower consumable costs and consistent slot dimensions as worn inserts are swapped. The standardized UFO compatibility simplifies workshop inventory, reduces machine idle time, and maintains steady production flow across mixed-hardness CNC setups.
