The Y.T. Indexable T-Slot Cutter (3T2580-4.0) is a metric, 50 mm saw-diameter tool designed for LNGT inserts, delivering precise center positioning and extended tool life through a unique tapered-polygon connection.
- Diameter and insert width: 50 mm saw diameter; compatible with LNGT inserts featuring an insert width of 2.5–3.0 mm.
- Connection design: distinctive tapered-polygon connection for precise center positioning, improving machining accuracy and reducing runout.
- System compatibility: part of YIH TROUN’s UFO-type insert ecosystem; shanks compatible with UFO-type inserts across diameters, thicknesses, and material grades.
- Insert capacity: each shank supports up to 400 UFO inserts, offering extensive tooling flexibility within the system.
- Coverage and options: six shanks cover the entire CAPTO range, enabling nine different cutter types and accommodating over 1,400 UFO inserts in total.
- Efficiency and replacement: optimized cutting angle and chip removal design deliver machining efficiency up to 300% greater than traditional HSS or welded T-slot cutters, with a simple connection and convenient replacement solution.
With its precise center positioning and modular insert system, this cutter minimizes runout and delivers consistent finishes while enabling rapid insert changes. The alignment accuracy, combined with the robust taper connection and streamlined maintenance, helps maintain productivity in high-precision LNGT milling applications.
