The Y.T. Indexable T-Slot Cutter (3TS2550-4.0) is a metric milling tool engineered for rapid, precise T-slot machining in high-cycle production environments. Designed specifically for LNGT inserts and featuring a 35 mm saw diameter, this cutter delivers repeatable T-groove profiles while minimizing machine downtime through fast, tool-free insert indexing.
- Cutting Geometry: 35 mm saw diameter calibrated for standard fixture spacing and clearance requirements in CNC and hydraulic shaper setups
- Insert Compatibility: Optimized mount points for LNGT indexable carbide inserts with selectable widths between 3 mm and 4 mm
- Shaft Connection: Tapered-polygon drive ensures rigid centring, eliminates rotational slip, and maintains tight runout tolerances during heavy cutting loads
- Tool Architecture: Fully indexable design permits selective replacement of worn cutting edges without discarding the cutter body
Replacing solid HSS or welded T-slot blanks with this modular cutter raises material removal rates by up to three times while preserving exact slot tolerances across thousands of cycles. The tapered-polygon interface dampens vibration and distributes cutting forces evenly, which extends service life and prevents unpredictable tool failure. When inserts reach their limit, machinists swap them directly on the machine floor rather than sending tools out for grinding. This streamlined rebuild process drastically reduces non-cutting time, protects finished part surfaces from chatter marks, and keeps batch scheduling on track.
