Dormer Pramet R458 10.90 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R458 10.90 mm carbide drill with FORCE-X stepped shank short-series is built for fast, accurate holemaking across a range of materials including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Its 140-degree four-facet split point self-centers the bit and reduces starting thrust, helping you begin holes with confidence, even in tougher workpieces.

Coated with Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) for longer tool life and improved performance at higher speeds, and featuring a CTW flute design that adds strength, this drill can run at higher speeds and feeds while delivering consistent hole quality to h9 tolerance. The DIN 6537 K stepped shank ensures a secure fit in standard holders, making it a reliable choice for production and shop use.

• 140° four-facet split point: Self-centering entry and reduced push force help start holes cleanly and reduce wandering, especially in tough materials.
• TiAlN coating: Extends tool life and enhances performance at higher speeds, delivering more consistent holes when drilling harder steels and stainless.
• CTW flute design: Adds rigidity for higher speeds and feeds, maintaining hole quality and reducing chatter across a range of materials.

This drill combines premium carbide and advanced coating to deliver reliable performance from the first hole to the last. It produces high-quality, accurate holes quickly, with minimal rework, thanks to a stable entry, strong cutting edges, and precise hole size to h9 tolerance. The 10.90 mm diameter, short-series stepped shank (DIN 6537 K) fits a wide range of holders, enabling efficient setups and consistent results in production runs or on-site jobs.
