Dormer Pramet R458 3.50 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R458 3.50 mm carbide drill is a compact, precision tool designed for clean, accurate holes across a wide range of materials. This short-series (X3D) drill uses a stepped shank and DIN 6537 K standard to fit common toolholders, with a 140-degree four-facet split point that self-centers and reduces entry force for reliable starts.

Coated with Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) to extend tool life, it features a CTW flute design for added strength at higher cutting speeds and feeds. Made from premium carbide, it handles steel, aluminum, and stainless steel with consistent hole quality and the ability to achieve h9 hole tolerances.

• 140° Four-Facet Split Point: Self-centering entry and reduced push force for clean starts, even on tough materials.
• TiAlN Coating for Extended Life: Increases tool life and improves performance when drilling harder materials, reducing downtime.
• CTW Flute Design + Premium Carbide: Delivers increased strength and allows higher cutting speeds and feeds; versatile across steel, aluminum, and stainless steel for reliable, high-quality holes.

Together, these features translate to faster setup, fewer tool changes, and consistent hole quality from the first pass to the last. The R458 3.50 mm drill maintains accuracy at higher speeds and feeds, supports a range of common materials, and helps keep projects on schedule with reliable, repeatable results (h9 tolerance) and long service life.
