Dormer Pramet R458 4.70 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

Designed for metalworking projects, the Dormer Pramet R458 is a 4.70 mm carbide drill with a short stepped shank (DIN 6537 K). It features a 140‑degree four‑facet split point for quick starts with minimal wandering, and a Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating to deliver longer tool life and better performance when drilling tougher materials. The compact, short‑series design makes it well suited for cramped setups and high‑precision hole generation in steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.

The drill’s premium carbide core, TiAlN coating, and CTW flute design work together to maintain cutting strength at higher speeds and feeds, enabling productive drilling without sacrificing hole quality. DIN 6537 K shank compatibility ensures reliable seating in standard toolholders across a wide range of applications.

• 140° four‑facet split point: Self‑centering start with reduced push force for clean, accurate holes right from the first cut.
• TiAlN coating for longer life: Superior wear resistance that improves performance on harder materials and extends tool life.
• CTW flute design with premium carbide: Supports higher cutting speeds and feeds while delivering consistent, reliable hole quality even in demanding materials.

Designed to fit into busy production workflows, the Dormer Pramet R458 4.70 mm drill helps you drill efficiently, reduce downtime, and achieve repeatable hole quality across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel projects. The combination of a stable short shank, durable carbide core, and wear‑resistant coating provides dependable performance from first cut to final hole, giving you confidence in every job.
