Dormer Pramet R458 15/64 Inch CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R458 carbide drill is a precision tool designed for fast, accurate hole making. With a 15/64 inch diameter, a Force-X stepped shank, and a short-series design (X3D), it delivers reliable performance in both CNC and handheld drilling applications.

Its 140-degree, four-facet split point helps start holes center‑line, reducing the push force required and minimizing wander. A Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating extends tool life, while the CTW flute design adds strength to sustain higher cutting speeds and feeds. Made from premium carbide, this drill is suitable for steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, producing high-quality holes with tight h9 tolerances.

• Self-Centering 140° Four-Facet Split Point: Starts holes true with less push force, reducing wandering and improving first-pass accuracy.
• TiAlN Coating for Longer Tool Life: Hardened wear resistance extends service life when drilling harder materials and at higher speeds.
• CTW Flute Design on Premium Carbide: Increased core strength enables higher speeds and feeds, delivering stable, high-quality holes across a range of materials.

Whether you’re fabricating steel components, machining aluminum parts, or drilling stainless assemblies, the R458 delivers dependable hole quality with tight tolerances. The carbide core, TiAlN coating, and CTW flute geometry work together to reduce downtime, improve consistency, and boost productivity. The DIN 6537 K shank ensures a secure, compatible fit in standard chucks and holders, making this drill a reliable choice for professionals and serious hobbyists alike.
