Dormer Pramet R458 N26 CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R458 N26 carbide drill is a high-performance cutting tool designed for professionals and hobbyists who demand precision across a variety of metals. It’s built to deliver clean, accurate holes quickly, even at higher speeds and feeds, making it ideal for engineers, machinists, and fabricators working in steel, aluminum, and stainless steel environments. The combination of a precise starting geometry and robust carbide construction helps you achieve consistent results with less rework.

Key features include a 140° four-facet split point for self-centering starts, a Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating to extend tool life and improve performance on harder materials, and a CTW flute design that supports higher cutting speeds and feeds. The short FORCE-X stepped shank and DIN 6537 K compatibility provide added rigidity and reliable tool seating in compact setups, helping maintain hole quality across demanding applications.

• 140° Four-Facet Split Point: Self-centering entry that reduces wandering and lowers the push force required, helping you start holes with confidence and precision.
• TiAlN Coating: Extends tool life and enhances performance on hard materials by reducing friction and heat during cutting, enabling longer intervals between re-sharpening.
• FORCE-X Short Shank with CTW Flute Design: Combines increased rigidity and stability with the ability to run at higher speeds and feeds, delivering consistent hole quality even in tight or awkward setups.

Choosing this drill means faster, more reliable drilling with repeatable results across materials, reduced downtime from tool wear, and the confidence that holes meet tight tolerances (h9) without sacrificing throughput. It’s a dependable solution for any metalworking workflow that demands precision, durability, and efficiency.
