Description

The Dormer Pramet R458 5.60 mm carbide drill is designed for reliable holemaking across a wide range of materials, including steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.

It features a 140-degree four-facet split point for self-centering and easier starts, a TiAlN coating to extend tool life, and a robust short FORCE-X stepped shank (DIN 6537 K) for secure, high-precision performance in everyday workshop setups.

Precise self-centering start: The 140° four-facet split point ensures clean starts with minimal guiding force, reducing wandering and improving first-pass hole quality.
Longer-life TiAlN coating: Titanium Aluminium Nitride coating boosts wear resistance, delivering reliable drilling through steel, aluminium, and stainless steel with less tool wear and downtime.
FORCE-X stepped shank and CTW flute design for durability and speed: The stepped shank provides secure toolholding in common holders, while the CTW flute design adds strength to support higher cutting speeds and feeds for faster, consistent hole quality.

With this drill in your setup, you’ll achieve accurate holes more quickly, reduce tool changes, and enjoy durable performance across a variety of materials. The combination of a strong carbide core, protective TiAlN coating, and a robust shank/flute design helps you complete projects with fewer reworks and dependable results, whether in professional workshops or hobbyist environments.
