Dormer Pramet R458 6.40 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R458 6.40 mm carbide drill is a high‑performance tool built for precise holemaking across a range of materials. With a short, stepped shank compatible with DIN 6537 K and a premium carbide core, it’s designed for rigid setups on CNC machines, drill presses, and compact workshop rigs. The TiAlN coating and versatile material compatibility—including steel, aluminium, and stainless steel—help extend tool life and maintain sharpness through demanding jobs.

Key features work together to deliver reliable performance: a 140° four‑facet split point provides true self‑centering and reduces starting push force; a TiAlN coating boosts wear resistance and cutting stability on harder materials; and the CTW flute design with a short shank enhances rigidity, enabling higher speeds and feeds without sacrificing hole quality.

• 140° Four-Facet Split Point: Self-centering start that minimizes wandering and reduces the push force required for clean, accurate holes.
• TiAlN Coating on Premium Carbide: Extends tool life and improves cutting efficiency when drilling harder materials, enhancing overall productivity.
• CTW Flute Design with Short DIN 6537 K Shank: Greater rigidity and stability, allowing higher speeds and feeds while maintaining consistent hole quality.

In use, this drill delivers high-quality, repeatable results with tight tolerance (H9) across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. The combination of durable carbide, advanced coating, and robust geometry helps you finish jobs faster, reduce tool changes, and achieve reliable performance in both professional workshops and larger DIY projects.
