Dormer Pramet R458 25/64 Inch CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R458 is a 25/64" carbide drill featuring a Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating and a Force-X stepped shank in the short-series (X3D). This drill is designed to meet DIN 6537 K shank standards, making it a reliable choice for demanding production tasks and workshop use where precision and efficiency matter.

With a 140-degree, 4-facet split point, it starts holes cleanly and self-centers, reducing the push force required for accurate starts. The TiAlN coating extends tool life and improves performance when drilling harder materials. A CTW flute design adds strength and enables higher cutting speeds and feeds, allowing you to achieve fast cycle times without sacrificing hole quality. Crafted from premium carbide, it is suitable for drilling steel, aluminium, and stainless steel, delivering consistent results with tight hole tolerances (h9).

• Self-Centering 140° 4-Facet Split Point: Reduces wandering on start-up and lowers the push force needed, delivering precise, true hole starts across common materials.
• TiAlN Coating for Longer Life: Increases tool life and maintains performance when drilling harder materials, helping you push for more productive runs between re-sharpening or replacements.
• CTW Flute Design for Higher Speed and Strength: Provides enhanced strength and supports higher cutting speeds and feeds, enabling faster drilling without compromising hole quality.

Designed for engineers, machinists, and DIY enthusiasts, the R458 delivers reliable, high-quality holes at speed while maintaining consistent accuracy (h9 tolerance). Its DIN 6537 K shank compatibility and short-format design make it a versatile, dependable option for a wide range of drilling applications, helping you improve workflow, reduce downtime, and expand your capabilities in steel, aluminium, and stainless steel projects.
