Dormer Pramet R458 18.50 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R458 18.50 mm carbide drill is a high‑performance tool designed for precise metal drilling across a range of materials. It features a stepped DIN 6537 K shank for secure, repeatable seating and a 140° four‑facet split point that self‑centers, reducing entry resistance and helping you start holes cleanly right from the first cut.

• Self-centering 140° four‑facet split point: Ensures accurate starting location and minimizes wandering, lowering the push force required and improving hole accuracy.
• TiAlN coating for longer tool life: Hardened coating extends service life when drilling harder materials, maintaining sharpness and reducing replacements over time.
• CTW flute design with stepped DIN 6537 K shank: Combines increased strength with the ability to run at higher speeds and feeds, while the stepped shank provides secure, repeatable seating in compatible holders for consistent results.

This drill is capable of delivering high‑quality, accurate holes at high speeds and feeds (with h9 hole tolerance) in steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. The combination of premium carbide, wear‑resistant coating, and a robust flute/shank design helps you cut faster, with less downtime and fewer re‑drills, improving overall productivity and reliability in demanding manufacturing or workshop environments.
