Dormer Pramet R458 9.00 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R458 9.00 mm carbide drill is built for professionals who need fast, reliable hole production across a range of materials. Designed for engineers, machinists, and fabricators, this drill combines premium carbide with durable coatings to deliver consistent results in steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

A 140° four-facet split point helps start holes precisely with less push force, while the TiAlN coating extends tool life and maintains sharpness in demanding materials. The CTW flute design adds rigidity and supports higher cutting speeds and feeds, and the short Force-X stepped shank provides secure engagement in common drill chucks, compatible with DIN 6537 K standards.

• Self-centering 140° four-facet split point: Starts holes precisely with less push force, reducing wandering and improving first-pass accuracy.
• TiAlN coating on premium carbide: Extends tool life and maintains sharpness when drilling harder materials, enabling longer production runs.
• CTW flute design with short Force-X stepped shank: Increases strength and rigidity for higher cutting speeds and feeds, delivering consistent hole quality (h9 tolerance).

This drill helps you work faster and with more confidence. With its robust carbide core, wear-resistant TiAlN coating, and optimized geometry, you can achieve clean, accurate holes at higher speeds, reduce tool changes, and minimize rework. Whether you’re drilling steel, aluminum, or stainless steel, the R458 delivers reliable performance you can depend on in both production settings and precision projects.
