Dormer Pramet R458 N1 CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R458 N1 carbide drill is a high-performance drilling solution designed for professionals and serious hobbyists who need reliable, precise holes across a range of metals. Its 140-degree, four-facet split point self-centers on contact, reduces starting push force, and helps deliver clean, true holes from the first stroke.

The tool features a Titanium Aluminium Nitride coating for longer life and better performance when drilling harder materials, and it uses a Force-X stepped shank in a compact short-series form for solid, stable performance. It’s compatible with standard DIN 6537 K shanks, making it a versatile choice for drilling steel, aluminium, and stainless steel with consistent results.

• Self-centering 140° four-facet split point: Starts holes cleanly with less push force, reducing wandering and providing true, accurate starts.
• TiAlN coating for longer life: Enhances wear resistance and maintains sharpness when drilling harder materials, extending tool life.
• CTW flute design for higher speeds and feeds: Increases strength and enables higher cutting speeds and feeds while supporting reliable chip evacuation and hole quality.

In practice, this drill helps you move faster, reduce rework, and maintain tight hole tolerances across multiple materials. The combination of wear-resistant coating, precision geometry, and robust carbide delivers consistent, high-quality results at various speeds and feeds, making it a dependable choice for production and precision work alike.
