Description

The Dormer Pramet R458 is a 33/64 inch carbide drill engineered for dependable performance across a range of materials. Its 140-degree, 4-facet split point promotes self-centering contact and reduces the push force required to start a hole, helping you achieve clean, straight starts and high-quality holes with h9 tolerance. Built with premium carbide and a Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating, this drill is designed to deliver longer tool life and steadier cutting in demanding materials.

Self-centering 140° 4‑facet split point: Provides precise starts with less resistance, improving hole alignment and reducing guiding effort during entry for faster, more consistent results.
TiAlN-coated premium carbide: The coating boosts wear resistance and enables longer service life, especially when drilling harder materials, helping you reduce tool changes and downtime.
CTW flute design for strength and speed: Optimized flute geometry increases rigidity and allows higher cutting speeds and feeds, delivering efficient material removal with reliable control.

Designed for professionals who demand precision and reliability, the R458 delivers consistent hole quality at practical speeds across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. Its stepped shank in the short FORCE-X series (DIN 6537 K) ensures a secure, stable fit in compatible holders, supporting smooth operation and predictable results in busy shop environments.
