Dormer Pramet R458 H CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R458 H carbide drill is built for reliable, precise hole making across a wide range of materials. Designed for the Force-X stepped shank short series and compatible with DIN 6537 K tooling, it delivers stable, repeatable performance in both shop and production settings.

Key features work together to boost performance: a 140° 4-facet split point for self-centering and reduced start push; a Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating that extends tool life and improves performance on harder materials; and a CTW flute design that adds strength to sustain higher cutting speeds and feeds. Made from premium carbide, it handles steel, aluminium, and stainless steel with reliable results and produces high-quality, accurate holes with H9 tolerance.

• 140° 4-Facet Split Point: Self-centering entry reduces wandering and lowers push force for clean starts and faster hole initiation.
• TiAlN Coating: Extends drill life and enhances performance on harder materials, reducing tool changes and downtime.
• CTW Flute Design: Provides increased strength and allows higher cutting speeds and feeds, delivering stable performance and better chip evacuation.

With its premium carbide core, TiAlN coating, and rugged CTW flute geometry, this drill helps you achieve consistent hole quality at higher speeds across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. The R458 H design supports reliable results in demanding applications, reduces downtime, and helps you maintain a smooth workflow from setup to finished parts, all while delivering holes to the established H9 tolerance.
