Dormer Pramet R458 N12 CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R458 N12 carbide drill is a high‑performance cutting tool designed for reliable hole making across steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Built with premium carbide and a Titanium Aluminum Nitride (TiAlN) coating, it delivers long tool life and consistent hole quality in demanding environments, including holes with h9 tolerance. The stepped shank and short‑series design provide rigid, repeatable performance in common holders and machines, making it a dependable choice for engineers, machine operators, and hobbyists alike.

• Self-centering 140° four‑facet split point: Starts true on contact, minimizes wandering, and reduces the push force required to begin the hole for cleaner starts and higher first‑pass accuracy.
• TiAlN coating for longer life: Significantly boosts wear resistance and heat tolerance, extending tool life when drilling harder materials and reducing downtime between tool changes.
• CTW flute design with stepped short shank: Adds strength and rigidity, supports higher speeds and feeds, and delivers consistent hole quality in a compact, reliable package.

Designed to improve productivity, this drill helps you achieve precise, repeatable holes with less downtime, faster cycle times, and reliable performance across a wide range of materials. Whether you're setting up in a production line or tackling a one‑off project, the R458 N12 provides the durability, accuracy, and ease of use you need to get the job done right.
