Dormer Pramet R457 11.80 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 is a high‑performance carbide drill designed for fast, accurate hole-making in metalwork. With an 11.80 mm diameter and a stepped shank, it’s tailored for reliable DIN 6537 K tooling setups and short‑series production. The 140° four‑facet split point helps the drill self‑center and reduces starting push force, making hole initiation quick and dependable.

Engineered for durability and versatile material capability, this drill features a Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating that extends tool life and enhances performance when drilling harder metals. The CTW flute design combined with an integrated coolant feed increases rigidity, supports higher cutting speeds and feeds, and improves chip evacuation for cleaner holes and reduced tool wear. Built from premium carbide, it’s suitable for steel, aluminium, and stainless steel while maintaining tight hole tolerances.

• Self‑centering 140° 4‑Facet Split Point: minimizes wandering at entry and reduces the push force required to start holes, giving you consistent starts and faster cycle times.
• TiAlN coating on premium carbide: delivers longer tool life and better performance on harder materials, reducing tool changes and downtime.
• CTW flute design with coolant feed: increases drill strength, enables higher speeds and feeds, and improves chip control for reliable, high‑quality holes.

This drill is built to deliver repeatable results across a range of metals, helping you push throughput without sacrificing hole quality. Whether you’re setting up a production run, performing maintenance work, or tackling precision projects, the R457 provides dependable performance, clean finishes, and the confidence to get the job done right the first time.
