Dormer Pramet R457 5.30 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 5.30 mm carbide drill is a high-performance tool designed to deliver precise, clean holes in a range of metals. With a 140-degree 4-facet split point, it self-centers and reduces the initial push force, helping you start holes accurately with less wandering.

Equipped with a Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating, a CTW flute design with integrated coolant feed, and a stepped shank, this short-series drill is built for durability and productivity. It performs well across steel, aluminum, and stainless steel and is compatible with DIN 6537 K specifications for reliable interchange in your machining setup.

• Self-Centering 140° Split Point: The 140‑degree, four‑facet geometry centers the drill for clean starts and reduces starting push force, while the stepped shank design ensures a secure grip and minimizes runout in demanding setups.
• TiAlN Coating for Wear Resistance: The Titanium Aluminium Nitride coating dramatically extends tool life by reducing wear, helping you achieve more holes per tool and fewer tool changes in tough materials.
• CTW Flute Design with Coolant Feed: Specialized flute geometry with integrated coolant channels improves chip evacuation, enhances rigidity, and enables higher cutting speeds and feeds without compromising hole quality.

With its robust carbide core, TiAlN wear resistance, and coolant-assisted cutting, the R457 helps you finish holes faster with consistent H9 hole tolerance and clean finishes across common metals. The durable construction reduces tool changes and downtime, while the precise starting point minimizes rework, making it a reliable choice for production runs and demanding projects.
