Dormer Pramet R457 3/4 Inch CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 3/4 Inch carbide drill is a high-performance tool designed for professionals and serious hobbyists who demand precise, reliable holes across a range of materials. Featuring a 140-degree, 4-facet split point, TiAlN coating, and a FORCE-X stepped shank with coolant feed, it delivers clean starts, longer tool life, and efficient material removal in steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. It’s built to perform in demanding applications while maintaining tight hole tolerances.

• 140° 4‑Facet Split Point: Self-centering start with reduced push force for easy hole initiation, especially on tough or slippery materials, leading to fewer walk-offs and faster setup.
• TiAlN-Coated Premium Carbide: Enhanced wear and heat resistance prolongs tool life and sustains high performance when drilling harder materials or at elevated speeds.
• CTW Flute Design with Coolant Feed: Strengthened flute geometry paired with coolant delivery enables higher cutting speeds and feeds, improved chip evacuation, and more consistent hole quality.

This drill is built for high accuracy and productivity, delivering high-quality, h9-tolerance holes across a variety of metals. The DIN 6537 K shank ensures compatibility with a wide range of holders, while the short series design reduces overhang for improved rigidity. With its combination of robust carbide, advanced coating, and optimized flute geometry, you can rely on repeatable results and fewer tool changes in busy workshops or production environments.
