Dormer Pramet R457 13.80 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 13.80 mm carbide drill is a precision solution for fast, reliable holemaking across a range of materials. Its 140-degree four-facet split point enables a self-centering start and reduces the push force required, helping you begin drilling cleanly with less wandering.

Built for demanding workshops, this short-series drill features a Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating to extend tool life and improve performance on tougher materials. The CTW flute design with coolant feed increases strength and allows higher cutting speeds and feeds, while the stepped shank and DIN 6537 K compatibility ensure secure, repeatable seating in standard chucks.

• 4-facet split point (140°): Provides precise, self-centering starts and reduces push force, resulting in cleaner holes and faster setup.
• TiAlN coating for longer life: Extends tool life and enhances performance when drilling harder materials, reducing downtime and rework.
• CTW flute design with coolant feed: Increases strength and enables higher speeds and feeds, with efficient cooling and chip evacuation for reliable, high-quality holes.

Designed to deliver high-quality, accurate holes even at elevated speeds and feeds, the R457 helps you improve throughput, reduce tool changes, and achieve consistent results across steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Its combination of robust carbide material, smart geometry, and coolant-assisted design makes it a dependable choice for everyday manufacturing and precision drilling tasks.
