Dormer Pramet R457 N25 CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

Meet the Dormer Pramet R457 N25 carbide drill—a compact, high-performance tool built for professionals and serious hobbyists who demand consistent, high-quality holes. It features a FORCE-X stepped shank for improved rigidity, a 140° four-facet split point for self-centering starts with reduced push force, and a Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating that extends tool life and boosts performance on harder materials. The CTW flute design with coolant feed adds strength to run at higher speeds and feeds, delivering reliable results across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel with tight H9 tolerances (DIN 6537 K).

• Self-Centering 140° Four-Facet Split Point: starts holes cleanly with less push force and minimizes wandering for accurate first cuts.
• TiAlN Coating for Life and Hard Materials: dramatically increases wear resistance, extending tool life and improving performance on harder steels and alloys across a range of materials.
• CTW Flute Design with Coolant Feed: reinforced drill body, optimized chip evacuation, and the ability to operate at higher speeds and feeds for faster, more reliable hole production.

This drill is designed to deliver consistent, high-quality holes with minimal downtime. Its versatility across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel, combined with the DIN 6537 K shank and H9 tolerance capability, makes it a dependable choice for fabrication shops, maintenance teams, and production environments where precision and repeatability matter.
