Dormer Pramet R457 7.20 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 7.20 mm carbide drill is built for fast, precise hole making. This Force-X short-series drill features a stepped shank and coolant feed designed for DIN 6537 K interfaces, delivering reliable performance across a range of metals with a robust, compact profile.

Equipped for demanding production, it combines a 140-degree four‑facet split point for quick self-centering with a TiAlN coating that extends tool life and boosts performance when drilling harder materials. The CTW flute design, paired with coolant feed, adds rigidity and enables higher cutting speeds and feeds for efficient, consistent hole creation.

• 140° Four-Facet Split Point for Self-Centering: Helps the drill locate the hole quickly, reduces wandering, and lowers the push force required to start cutting, speeding setup and improving initial hole accuracy.
• TiAlN Coating for Longer Tool Life: Increases wear resistance and sustained performance when drilling harder materials, reducing tool changes and downtime.
• CTW Flute Design with Coolant Feed: Adds stiffness and supports higher speeds and feeds, while efficient coolant delivery improves chip evacuation for clean, accurate holes.

The result is dependable, high-quality hole production with tight tolerances (H9) across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. This drill is a reliable choice for engineers, tradespeople, and hobbyists who need consistent performance, reduced rework, and tooling that stands up to regular use in busy workshops.
