Dormer Pramet R457 3.10 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 3.10 mm carbide drill is a high‑performance bit built for precision hole making in steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. Designed as a short-series tool with a DIN 6537 K shank and a coolant‑fed flute, it’s ready for demanding workshops and production runs. Its compact form and robust construction make it suitable for engineers, machinists, buyers, tradespeople, hobbyists, and DIY enthusiasts who need reliable, repeatable results.

Equipped with a 140‑degree four‑facet split point, it self‑centers and minimizes start‑up wander, reducing the push force required to begin a hole. The TiAlN coating extends tool life and boosts performance on harder materials. A special flute design with coolant feed further strengthens the drill and enables higher cutting speeds and feeds for efficient drilling.

• 140° self-centering four-facet split point: Centers itself at start, reduces wandering, and lowers the push force for smoother hole initiation.
• TiAlN coating for longer life: Extends tool life and sustains sharpness when drilling harder materials, delivering consistent hole quality over more cycles.
• Special flute design with coolant feed: Improves strength and heat management, allowing higher cutting speeds and feeds with reliable chip evacuation.

This drill enables fast, accurate holes with tight h9 tolerance, even at higher speeds and feeds. The robust carbide construction, enhanced by the TiAlN coating and advanced flute geometry, reduces downtime and delivers dependable performance across a range of metals, making it a trusted choice for production runs, maintenance, and precision projects alike.
