Dormer Pramet R457 12.00 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 12.00 mm carbide drill (DIN 6537 K shank, short FORCE-X series) is a high-performance tool designed for professionals and serious hobbyists who demand precise, reliable holes. It features a 140-degree, 4-facet split point that self-centers the drill and reduces the push force required to start a hole, helping you achieve cleaner starts with less effort.

Built from premium carbide and coated with Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN), this drill delivers longer service life and improved performance when drilling harder materials. Its design supports a wide material range—steel, aluminium, and stainless steel—making it a versatile choice for mixed-material projects. The FORCE-X flute design with a coolant feed, plus the short shank, adds rigidity and efficiency for higher cutting speeds and feeds.

• 140° 4‑Facet Split Point: Self-centering start reduces wandering and lowers starting resistance for quicker, more accurate hole entry.
• TiAlN Coating for Extended Life: Increases tool life and maintains sharpness when drilling harder metals, delivering consistent performance over longer production runs.
• FORCE-X Flute Design with Coolant Feed: Provides increased strength and rigidity, supports higher speeds and feeds, and delivers effective cooling and chip evacuation for reliable holes in demanding applications.

Designed for precision and reliability, this drill helps you achieve high-quality holes with tight tolerances (h9). The combination of robust carbide, TiAlN coating, and the coolant-enabled FORCE-X design minimizes downtime, reduces rework, and enhances overall workflow efficiency across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel applications.
