Dormer Pramet R457 6.90 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 6.90 mm carbide drill is a versatile holemaker built for reliable performance across a wide range of materials. With a 140-degree four-facet split point, it starts cleanly with minimal drift, helping you achieve true, first-time hole alignment. The TiAlN coating enhances wear resistance and heat tolerance, delivering longer tool life and steadier performance in demanding cutting conditions. This drill is sized for DIN 6537 K tooling and designed for use in steady production or precision work alike.

Built for high-speed productivity, the R457 combines a Force-X stepped shank with a CTW flute design and integrated coolant feed. This combination delivers robust strength, efficient chip evacuation, and the ability to cut at higher speeds and feeds without compromising hole accuracy. The premium carbide substrate expands compatibility to a broad range of materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel, making it a reliable workhorse for both shop floors and toolboxes.

• Self-centering 140° four-facet split point: Reduces drift at start and lowers the push force required for true, clean hole starts.
• TiAlN-coated premium carbide for long life: Extends tool life and sustains performance when drilling harder materials and at higher cutting speeds.
• CTW flute design with coolant feed and stepped shank: Provides greater strength, faster machining with higher speeds/feeds, and effective coolant delivery for smoother chip control.

This drill is designed to deliver consistent hole quality and dependable results across a variety of applications. Its combination of advanced coating, precise geometry, and durable construction helps you reduce downtime, improve throughput, and achieve precise tolerances with confidence.
