Dormer Pramet R457 4.60 mm CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

Dormer Pramet R457 4.60 mm carbide drill designed for reliable, high-precision hole making across a range of materials. This DIN 6537 K shank drill features a 140° four-facet split point for quick starts, self-centering performance, and reduced push force, making it suitable for machining tasks from prototyping to production runs. its robust carbide body and TiAlN coating are built to handle demanding jobs while delivering consistent results.

• 140° four‑facet split point: self-centering starts reduce wandering and minimize the effort needed to begin each hole, helping you achieve clean, first-time accuracy.
• TiAlN coating for longer tool life: the Titanium Aluminum Nitride coating improves wear resistance, extending service life when drilling harder materials and maintaining sharpness over many holes.
• CTW flute design with coolant feed: enhanced flute geometry and coolant delivery increase strength, allow higher cutting speeds and feeds, and promote efficient chip removal for smoother drilling and cooler operation.

The R457 drill is versatile enough to handle steel, aluminium, and stainless steel, delivering high-quality, H9-level hole tolerances at speed. With its premium carbide construction and coating, you gain reliable performance, reduced downtime, and consistent results—making it a dependable choice for engineers, machinists, and hobbyists alike.
