Dormer Pramet R457 7/16 Inch CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 7/16 Inch Carbide Drill is a premium hole-making tool designed for reliable, precise performance across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. With a 7/16" diameter and a DIN 6537 K shank, it fits standard holders, and the stepped shank along with coolant feed supports steady operation in demanding workflows—from fabrication shops to on-site projects.

Engineered for fast setup and long life, this drill starts quickly and stays true thanks to a 140-degree four-facet split point that self-centers and reduces the push force required. The TiAlN coating boosts wear resistance for extended tool life, even when drilling tougher materials. The CTW flute design with coolant feed delivers greater strength and enables higher cutting speeds and feeds for efficient material removal.

• Self-centering 140° four-facet split point: Starts quickly and holds its line, minimizing wandering and reducing effort during entry for cleaner holes.
• TiAlN-coated premium carbide: Increases wear resistance and tool life, delivering consistent performance across steel, aluminium, and stainless applications.
• CTW flute design with coolant feed: Enhances strength and allows higher speeds and feeds, while improving chip evacuation for reliable hole quality.

Together, these features deliver reliable, high-quality holemaking with tight H9 tolerances, even at higher speeds and feeds. The tool’s carbide core, durable coating, and coolant-assisted design help reduce downtime, extend service life, and improve productivity across a range of materials and applications.
