Dormer Pramet R457 O CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 O Carbide TiAlN FORCE-X drill is a versatile, high-performance carbide drill designed for reliable hole-making across a range of materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Built with a DIN 6537 K shank and FORCE-X stepped shank, it delivers solid grip and consistent results in both machine setups and handheld operations. The coolant-feed design helps keep chips moving and heat under control for smoother cutting.

Equipped with a 140-degree, four-facet split point, it self-centers and minimizes wandering, reducing the push force required to start a hole. The Titanium Aluminium Nitride coating extends tool life and enhances performance when drilling harder materials, while the CTW flute design with integrated coolant feed adds strength and enables higher cutting speeds and feeds for faster production.

• Self-Centering 140° 4‑Facet Split Point: starts holes quickly with minimal wandering and lower pushing effort, improving accuracy right from the first cut.
• TiAlN-Coated Premium Carbide: delivers longer service life and maintains sharpness under demanding cutting conditions, especially with harder materials.
• CTW Flute Design with Coolant Feed: boosts strength and allows higher speeds and feeds, while efficient coolant delivery supports better chip evacuation and cooler operation.

This drill is built to improve throughput and hole quality in a wide range of applications. Its robust carbide composition, combined with the TIAlN coating and advanced flute geometry, helps you achieve consistent, accurate holes at higher speeds with less tool wear, reducing downtime and rework while expanding your material capability.
