Dormer Pramet R457 x CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 X3D carbide drill is a premium, short-series tool engineered for precise hole making across a wide range of materials. With a FORCE-X stepped shank and integrated coolant feed, it delivers reliable starts and steady performance in compact setups, making it a dependable choice for engineers, technicians, and serious hobbyists.

Key advantages include a 140° four-facet split point for self-centering and reduced push force, a TiAlN coating that extends tool life and improves performance on harder materials, and a CTW flute design with coolant feed that increases strength while enabling higher cutting speeds and feeds.

• 140° four-facet split point: Self-centering entry reduces wandering and push force, helping you start holes cleanly in a variety of metals.
• TiAlN-coated premium carbide: Longer tool life and enhanced performance when drilling steels, aluminium, and stainless steel across demanding applications.
• CTW flute design with coolant feed: Greater rigidity and efficient chip evacuation enable higher speeds and feeds for consistent, high-quality holes.

Designed to deliver high-quality, accurate holes at elevated speeds and feeds (h9 hole tolerance), this drill supports faster production, reduced rework, and dependable results in fabrication, maintenance, and repair tasks. Its robust construction and coating ensure reliable performance from the first hole to the last.
