Dormer Pramet R457 G CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 G carbide drill is a high-performance, coolant-fed tool designed for fast, precise hole making across steel, aluminium, and stainless steel. It’s ideal for engineers, machinists, and hobbyists who demand reliable, repeatable results in demanding applications. The 140‑degree four‑facet split point helps the drill start the hole accurately and reduces the push force required during entry.

Made from premium carbide and finished with a Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN) coating, this drill delivers longer service life and maintains sharpness when cutting harder materials. The CTW flute design with coolant feed increases strength and enables higher cutting speeds and feeds, while the compact short-series design and FORCE-X stepped shank (DIN 6537 K) ensure compatibility with common chucks and fit into tight work areas. The tool is capable of producing high-quality holes with tight H9 tolerances.

• Self-centering 140° four‑facet split point: Reduces walking on entry and lowers the push force required, enabling clean starts and improved hole accuracy.
• TiAlN coating for increased life: Extends tool life and maintains performance when drilling harder materials, reducing tool changes and downtime.
• CTW flute design with coolant feed: Provides added strength and supports higher speeds and feeds, with improved chip evacuation for smoother, more reliable drilling.

This drill delivers consistent, high-quality results across a range of materials with minimal effort, helping you speed up production, reduce rework, and rely on repeatable hole dimensions (H9 tolerance). The DIN 6537 K shank ensures easy interchange with standard chucks, making it a dependable choice for professional shops and skilled DIY projects alike.
