Dormer Pramet R457 S CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 S carbide drill is built for professionals who demand dependable, high-speed metal drilling. Part of the Force-X short-series, it features a stepped shank and coolant feed to enhance stability and chip control in demanding shop environments.

This drill combines a 140° four-facet split point, a TiAlN coating, and a specialized flute design to deliver self-centering starts, longer tool life, and the ability to run at higher speeds and feeds while maintaining tight tolerances.

• Self-centering 140° 4-Facet Point: Ensures clean entry and reduces push force, minimizing wandering and improving hole accuracy.
• TiAlN Coating for Longevity: Increases tool life and performance on steel, aluminium, and stainless steel by reducing wear and heat.
• CTW Flute Design with Coolant Feed: Provides greater edge strength, efficient chip evacuation, and allows higher speeds and feeds with consistent hole quality, achieving tight h9 tolerance.

This combination helps you streamline production, reduce downtime, and achieve repeatable, high-quality holes across common metals. The carbide core, TiAlN coating, and optimized flute geometry work together to resist wear, stay sharp longer, and cut cleanly at speed, making it suitable for CNC and manual drilling in manufacturing, fabrication, and maintenance tasks.
