Dormer Pramet R457 13/32 Inch CARBIDE TIALN FORCE-X STEPPED SHANK COOLANT FEED SHORT SERIES (X3D) DRILL DIN 6537 K

The Dormer Pramet R457 13/32 Inch Carbide Drill from the FORCE-X Short Series (X3D) is a high‑performance cutting tool designed for durable, precise hole making in steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. With a stepped shank and coolant feed, this DIN 6537 K compliant drill delivers fast setup and reliable starts in demanding workshop and production tasks.

Engineers, machinists, tradespeople, and hobbyists will appreciate its ability to produce high‑quality holes consistently at higher speeds, backed by a robust carbide substrate and a coating engineered for long tool life.

• Self-centering 140° four-facet split point: Starts holes exactly where intended with less push force, reducing wander and improving first-pass accuracy for clean, true holes.
• TiAlN coating for longer life: Enhances wear resistance and thermal stability, increasing tool life and performance when drilling hard or coated materials.
• CTW flute design with coolant feed for higher speeds and feeds: Strong flute geometry plus integrated coolant delivery improves rigidity, chip evacuation, and allows higher cutting speeds and feeds for faster material removal.

This combination of precision geometry, protective coating, and advanced flute design helps you cut faster, finish cleaner holes, and reduce downtime from tool changes. The R457 drill delivers repeatable h9 hole tolerance across common materials, making it a reliable choice for production runs, maintenance tasks, or DIY projects. Its 13/32" diameter, DIN 6537 K compatibility, and coolant feed with a stepped shank ensure dependable performance in standard toolholders and CNC setups.
